클라우드 컴퓨팅을 구성하기 위해 서비스형태로 구성할수 있는 모든 IT 요소

여기서 x는 Anything을 의미하는 것. 아래는 XaaS의 종류의 일부이다.

SaaS        Software as a Service                 설치되어 웹을 통해 이용하는 서비스

PaaS     Platform as a Service                 개발,테스트,배포, 호스팅 플랫폼 서비스

IaaS         Infrastructure as a Service         서버, 하드웨어, 저장장치 등의 온디맨드 컴퓨팅 서비스

위 세개는 SPI model이라고 불리기도 한다.

Baas     Business as a Service                 비즈니스 전반에 걸친 서비스

MaaS        Monitoring as a Serivce         클라우드 시스템의 관리, 모니터링 온 디멘드 서비스

IDaaS IDentity as a Service                 Identity 관련 서비스

UCaas Unified Communication as a Service IP망을 기반으로하는 부가통신사업자 제공 서비스
